August 2018 Net Worth Update

I forgot to post July numbers, but they’re in the below image to have a comparison for the month of August.  July ended up being a great month (up over $10,000 from June) mostly due to stock market gains.

At the end of August my net worth went up by 1.28%, to end at $355,870 which is increase of about $4,500 from last month also due to stock market gains.

[Edit 10/6/2018: I realized I opened a new brokerage with Robinhood this month and forgot to include those numbers under the “Brokerage” section, effectively shorting my net worth by about $2,800.  Below reflects the new breakdown.)

June 2018 Net Worth Update

At the end of June, my net worth went up by 0.63%, to end at $340,977.21 which is increase of about $2,100 from last month.  Bank accounts continue to drop due to investing activities (about $3,500 / month to Brokerage and Retirement), and investments were mostly flat compared to previous months. Considering expenses were quite high for entertainment and trip pre-payments that will happen later in 2018, the month could have been worse.  It’s also nice to see that even though net worth was up by less than a percent, it still means the net increase is a couple of G’s.

May 2018 Net Worth Update

At the end of May my net worth went up by 2.65%, to end at $338,836 which is increase of about $8,700 from last month.  I continue to see a decrease in cash due to investing activities (about $3,500 / month to Brokerage and Retirement), and in months of positive market gains it’ll help overall net worth. This month was no different as investments showed an increase of over $10,000.   I expect this trend to continue through the foreseeable future.
