In July, my net worth decreased by about $6,600 to bring me to a total of $1,057,943.38, down less than 1% over the previous month.

You’ll also notice I made a big purchase – a new car – that is currently financed with an outstanding loan of $32,455.90. While I have plenty of cash on hand to pay off the debt today, the interest rate is only 2.9%. As of this post, I’m still running different scenarios to determine if it makes the most sense to pay it off with cash on hand or to service the debt and put the cash to work in investment accounts.
