Update for April 2015:

Brokerage Investment Goal:

• April Investments contributions were $970.90,
• YTD Investments contributions are at $4,008.87
• Outlook: Green – everything’s on track.

Roth IRA Investments Goal:

• April Investments were $500
• YTD Investments total $1,800
• Outlook: Green – everything’s on track.  Note that I anticipate contributing $6,000 this year to Roth IRA, since I made one of my monthly contributions as a 2014 contribution, giving me the ability to contribute a little extra this year than the federal maximum.

Cash Flow Goal:

• April was cash flow negative, with ($404.46) being added to the bank accounts
• YTD is at a positive $5,418.84 net cash flow
• Outlook: Green

Additional Mortgage Principal Stretch Goal:

• April was $0
• YTD is $0
• Outlook: Green.  I anticipate making my additional principal payments for the next three months of about $700 per month.  This is because April had less of a cash flow hit than anticipated, so there’s extra money available to put towards the house.

Update for March 2015:

• Outlook: Green – everything’s on track.

Cash Flow Goal:

• March was cash flow positive, with $5,809.63 being added to the bank accounts
• YTD is at a positive $7,576.83 net cash flow
• Outlook: Green – due to awesome bonus and base pay increases that exceeded my original estimate.

Additional Mortgage Principal Stretch Goal:

• March was $0
• YTD is $0
• Outlook: Green.  I anticipate making my first principal-only payment of the year of $1,700 in April.  Sometime later in the year will add another $1,500 to bring the total estimated to $3,200.

Update for Feb 2015:

Brokerage Investment Goal:

• Feb Investments contributions were $1102.92
• YTD Investments contributions are at $1962.77
• Outlook: Green – everything’s on track.

Roth IRA Investments Goal:

• Feb Investments were $400
• YTD Investments total $800
• Outlook: Green – everything’s on track.

Cash Flow Goal:

• Feb was cash flow positive, with $839.67 $839.57* being added to the bank accounts
• YTD is at a positive $13.77 $13.67 net cash flow
• Outlook: Yellow at this time since planned spending has me slightly below target.  Though it’s very early in the year and since I am very conservative in my estimates I anticipate some expenses being less than planned, which will move this green.

Additional Mortgage Principal Stretch Goal:

• Feb was $0
• YTD is $0
• Outlook: Green.  I anticipate making my first principal-only payment of $1,500 in March when I get my bonus.  Making this payment relies on some assumptions I’ve made when it comes to my bonus at work.  I am estimating around $8,000 (pre-tax) for my bonus, but won’t know for sure if I’m right until mid-March. If I over-estimated, I’ll have some work to do to refactor the budget for the year.
