Net Worth Tracker

This page is used to track my net worth updates, going back to the beginning.  This will be updated monthly.  Net worth is tracked by using GnuCash and PersonalCapital.com.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll see included:

Assets:

  • Cash – money in the bank
  • Brokerage – personal taxable investments
  • Retirement – 401(k) and Roth IRA
  • Pre-paid expenses – car insurance, homeowner’s insurance, and similar things which I pay in advance
  • House Estimated Value – via Zillow or other sources

Liabilities

  • Credit Cards – the current balance, however this is paid in full before the due date
  • Mortgage – the remaining principal balance of my house
  • Property Taxes – the current liability of property taxes (calculated by using last year’s bill)

What’s NOT included:

  • Vehicle Estimated Value – since this depreciates and I don’t expect it to be worth much when I sell it
